Hello Tom,

Paris is a city in the north of France. In Roman times, Paris was called “Lutetia” and the population was only 50.000 but now is about 2.5 milion people.

There are very important places in Paris like the Eiffel Tower or the Notre Dame Cathedral. The Eiffel Tower was built by Alexandre Gustave Eiffel and the Notre Dame Cathedral is one of the most important cathedrals in the world.

The people of Paris are called Parisians. There was a lot of famous people in this city like Pierre Curie or Claude Monet. Pierre Curie was the husband of Marie Curie, he was chemist, scientist, physicist and academic. Claude Monet was a famous painter on 19-20 centuaries.
