London is a city in the south east of
England. In Roman times, London was called “Londinium” and only 45.000 people
lived there, but is 7.5 milion now.
There are very important places in London
like Trafalgar Square or Victoria Street or other many important places.
Trafalgar Square, commemorate the Battle of Trafalgar and Victoria Street is
called because there was a queen called Victoria.
The people of London are called Londoners or
“Cockneys”. There was a lot of famous people in this city, like Charlie Chaplin
(the comedy actor on 1900 centuary) or Arthur Conan Doyle (the writer of
Sherlock Holmes stories).
